The comedy presents two approaches to raising children: one strict and rigid, and the other more free and open. This is reflected in the sisters D\u00e9mesa and Micci\u00f3na, who are very different from each other. D\u00e9mesa is a strict mother who carefully looks after her children, Esquino and Ctesifonte, while Micci\u00f3na is cheerful and permissive, having raised Esquino as if he were her own. The play contrasts these two ways of educating and shows their consequences in a fun and entertaining way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
