Guardias Viejas Beach<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Guardias Viejas beach stretches from the village of Guardias Viejas to the outskirts of Balerma. It is one of the quietest and least crowded beaches on the El Ejido coast, with crystal-clear waters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its most distinctive feature is the Castillo de Guardias Viejas<\/a>, an 18th-century fortress that overlooks the beach. Boats regularly anchor offshore, giving the beach a maritime character rarely found elsewhere along the El Ejido coastline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The beach’s position at the Punta de Culo de Perro headland, exposed to easterly and westerly winds, makes it one of the best spots in El Ejido for surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing \u2014 a reference point for water sports on the Almer\u00eda coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Access to the beach passes through san dunes with characteristic Mediterranean coastal vegetation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
