Welcome to the Natural Park and Reserve of Punta Entinas-Sabinar
It is always welcome news to hear that measures are taken to protect and conserve our natural heritage. It is for this reason, it is worthy of celebration that in 1989 this corner of Almería became legally protected, declaring it a Reserve and Natural Site.
The Reserve’s extension is around 785 hectares. The animal and plant species that live there are of major rarity, fragility, significance and uniqueness. A world formed by the Marshlands of Las Entinas, dunes, birdlife and the sea.
The Natural Park feautures around 1,971 hectares through which you can enjoy walking between its two wetlands separated from the sea by a natural barrier of sand and dunes, covered with mastic and juniper bushes, inhabited and flown over by more than 200 species of birds.
