In ‘New Year’s Eve,’ Murielle spends the night alone, while the sounds of the street contrast with her solitude. Between memories and a bleak present, she confronts loss, failure, and the feeling of being out of place.

With a tone that blends tragedy and comedy, the play shows how life can challenge one’s self-esteem and the roles of woman, wife, mother, and daughter, inviting the audience to reflect on fragility, resilience, and humour in the face of adversity.
